NIP continues their spell in the lower bracket!
A demonstration by NIP who on the day was better than BLAST Premier Spring Final 2021!
The first map was to be played on Overpass in the tunnels, where NIP´s solid defensive line ended up being the deciding element in the map.
In the first half in the tunnels, NIP delivered a near-perfect presentation of how to defend the bombsites. Where they delivered a 9-6 lead after the first half.
Evil Geniuses hoped for a comeback, but they never came close to the victory on their map pick, where NIP just seemed better on the day.
The second half ended with a 7-5 victory for NIP, which was enough for NIP to win the map 16-11.
The next map was NIP´s map pick, and they chose Dust2.
The first half was very even with NIP as the CT side, where they managed to win eight rounds in the first half, which gave them an 8-7 lead before the second half, where NIP would be the CT side, on the T-sided map.
So, we thought that Evil Geniuses would come back in the match, but they didn’t, because NIP was too strong on Dust2.
NIP won the second half 8-5 as the CT side, a fantastic performance by NIP, who moves on to the next round of the lower bracket.
