NAVI and Gambit ready for rematch at StarLadder CIS RMR event
Both teams came out on top in their upper semi-finals.
We will get to see another clash of the titans at the CIS RMR event.
Gambit swiftly took care of K23 in their semi-final. All of the Gambit players ended the match in positive K-D scores, which underlined the dominance of the current best team in the world.
In the other semi-final, Team Spirit gave NAVI a bit more resistance. In the first map, Spirit was 10-5 ahead at the break but then collapsed under the pressure from s1mple and company who won 11 rounds in a row to win the first map on Mirage.
On Overpass the two teams were all tied. At 15-13, it looked like NAVI could pull through, but Spirit made a comeback to force the map to overtime, where they completed the comeback.
Nuke was set as the decider. Here Spirit lost their momentum. While degster was being bullied in the yard, Perfecto gave a masterclass in the first half, where the NAVI player went 15-6 in K-D. Natus Vincere took a 13-2 lead at the break and cruised home the victory.
Both teams are now guaranteed 1750 RMR points, and will face each other tomorrow in the upper bracket final.
