HEET and FTW qualifies for ESL Pro League Season 16
The two teams were the last to make it through from the Conference League.
ESL Pro League Season 16 is shaping up with six new qualifiers making their entry into the tournament. The six teams managed to make it through the LAN qualifier in Jönköping, Sweden, where 16 teams were ready to try and make the cut.
Outsiders, Eternal Fire, Endpoint, and MIBR secured their participation in the tier-A tournament with two swift wins. In the lower bracket HEET and FTW had to take the long way to finally qualify. Both teams also had to endure all three maps in their final match to gain their spot. For the Portuguese roster from FTW, it was Illuminar, that took them the distance, while HEET had to fight off their countrymen from Falcons.
With the completion of the ESL Pro League Season 16 Conference, 20 out of 24 teams have been found. The last four places will be determined by ESL's own ranking system. Right now that would give Cloud9, Heroic, Team Spirit, and OG a spot in the tournament, but much can change during IEM Cologne.
