First victory for new NIP lineup
How far can the new lineup from Ninjas in Pyjamas get?
Ninjas in Pyjamas secured their first win at BLAST Premier Spring Groups after they took down BIG 2-0 with their new starting line-up.
Starting off on Mirage BIG was the team to press the speeder from the start. The German team led by Johannes "tabseN" Wodarz established itself a five-to-nothing lead before NIP started to play their own game of Counter-Strike. The mixed team from Sweeden bounced back from their poor start and ended the half with an 8-7 lead. During the second half, both teams secured rounds back and forth, but NIP where the team to take the map 16-14.
Next up Inferno. Starting out well on the CT side was BIG as they took the first pistol round and the following. However, NIP was too strong for the German roster as they took map two 16-11.
Daniil 'headtr1ck' Valitov is the new man in the NIP line-up. The only 18-year-old has been playing well during the first two matches of the season, first against NAVI and yesterday against the German team BIG. With Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen leading the way for the NIP side and their new AWPer being set, could this lead to Ninjas in Pyjamas reaching the top within months?
