Evil Geniuses qualifies for Stockholm Major
EG won the fifth place decider at IEM Fall NA to qualify.
It will be Team Liquid, FURIA, GODSENT, paiN, and Evil Geniuses who will represent North America at the upcoming PGL Major in Stockholm.
The last spot was decided late last night, where Evil Geniuses won the fifth place decider against EXTREMUM.
EG won Nuke by 16-6, and then went on to lose Mirage 16-13.
Inferno was set as the decider. Here it was all even at the break with an 8-7 score in favor of EG. But in the second half, EXTREMUM could not find a way through the defense of EG. The former 100 Thieves core ended their Major dream by losing all rounds in the second half.
Evil Geniuses is currently placed third in the NA RMR standings giving them a legend spot at the upcoming Major. That could be changed tonight when paiN has the opportunity to win enough points to take over third place. paiN will need to beat Team Liquid in the third-place decider to claim the spot.
