The Polish team Illuminar fancied their chances against OG after a dream start to Overpass. On their T-side Illuminar managed to go ahead 5-0 against Nemanja "nexa" Isaković and his men. But from here on everything fell apart. OG won ALL rounds after that to secure their first victory at the RMR tournament. A stellar ace clutch from Maciej "F1KU" Miklas against his countrymen was the highlight of the match.

OG is now 1-1 in the Swiss system and will face another team with an equal score tomorrow, while Illuminar needs to win all their remaining matches at the tournament to stay alive.

Another national lineup in SAW also had to take a defeat today in Group B. The Portuguese roster lost 16-3 to Monte, who blew them off the server on Nuke.

The first place and $75.000 were up for grabs when fnatic and the ex-MAD Lions battled it out in the Grand Final of REPUBLEAGUE Season 3. It took them three maps, but the ex-MAD Lions ran away with the title.

The action started out on ex-MAD Lions pick of Mirage, and after the first fifteen rounds, the win was almost guaranteed for fnatic. The storied franchise was in the lead at 13-2 going into the second half and only had to win three more rounds, not a big deal considering how hot 'roeJ' was. 

It turned out that that would be easier said than done, as 'Woro2k' successfully led the Lions in an almost-impossible comeback and they took the game all the way into overtime. There the Lions finished what they had started, and left fnatic behind after a massive choke.

On the second map of Nuke, it was made quite clear why fnatic had picked that map. The 'mezii'-led squad safely secured the map at 16-10, while losing both pistol rounds and conversions, in what was a strong and coordinated team effort where no individuals were lacking behind.

The third and final map of the Grand Final was the new-look Ancient, which is supposed to be less CT-sided than it used to be. The ex-MAD Lions took advantage of this as they grabbed a satisfying 9-6 half on the offense. fnatic, however, did not manage to crack the code of the T side as the Lions, with minimal losses, took them out pretty swiftly. 

With the win the ex-MAD Lions take the title at REPUBLEAGUE Season 3 and can now call themselves the champions.

A rather surprising announcement came out of the MAD Lions headquarters last night.

The benching of especially Volodymyr "⁠Woro2k⁠" Veletniuk was not expected after some good performances from the Ukrainian, who has put up a 1.15 rating in the last six months. The year ended with four early exits from tournaments which could have been the reason for the changes. There is no news about who will replace Pere "sausol" Solsona Saumell and Volodymyr "⁠Woro2k⁠" Veletniuk on the team.

For the second time at DreamHack Open November, MOUZ was beaten by MAD Lions.

Both teams were 1-1 in Group A and had to win the decider match to qualify for the playoffs. It started well for MOUZ, who came out hot on their CT-side on Dust2. But the 11-4 lead at the break quickly diminished in the second half, where MOUZ crumpled and only managed to win two rounds. It was the trio of Thomas 'TMB' Bundsbæk, Justinas 'jL' Lekavicius, and Pere 'sausol' Solsona Saumell who stole all of MOUZ' momentum during the map, that ended 16-13 in favor of MAD Lions.

The hot streak carried over on Nuke for MAD Lions. Once again it was their CT-side, that was near flawless. Again it was the Lithuanian rifler Justinas 'jL' Lekavicius who made a lot of damage, while Volodymyr 'Woro2k' Veletniuk controlled the outside area with his AWP. On the other side of the server, it took in-game leader Christopher 'dexter' Nong 15 rounds to put his first kill on the scoreboard in another catastrophe of a T-side from MOUZ.

The Australian immediately took his revenge on the CT-side, where he made three kills in the pistol round to quadruple his total kills on the map, but it was not near enough for MOUZ to avoid the elimination from the tournament. MAD Lions on the other half can look forward to Saturday's Semi-Finals, where they face Fnatic. There is $50.000 on the line for first place and a spot in the ESL Pro League Conference for the winner of DreamHack Open November.

Evil Geniuses has been thrown out of BLAST Premier Fall Showdown after suffering a devastating loss to MAD Lions. The last round-of-16 matchup at the event ended up being a tough series for the North Americans, where we saw MAD Lions round off the match 2-0.

The standout performer in the match was MAD Lions Volodymyr 'Woro2k' Veletniuk, who dismantled the EG players time after time, round after round. The young Ukrainian ended the battle with a 1.41 Rating and 52 kills. The win means that MAD Lions will take on G2 in the next round – On paper, a much tougher opponent than Evil Geniuses.

With MAD Lions getting their upset against OG, Team Vitality has qualified for the PGL Major by taking a Top 2 place in their group. In the playoffs, Team Vitality will be looking to also get the legend status.

The PGL Major in Stockholm will be misutaaa’s first ever Major, compared to shox who continues his streak of attending every single CS:GO Major that has ever been.

Vitality’s important victory that would help them secure Major qualification came on Inferno, where the Frenchmen completely crushed Dignitas in the first half, ending it 13-2. The Swedish squad slowly began to find their footing in the second half, but it was all a little too late as Vitality went on to close the map 16-8.
