Former Virtus.pro player has found a new team
phr has been acquired by Wisła Kraków, filling up the void spot from the benching of Patryk "ponczek" Wites.
The Polish top team Wisła Kraków has signed the 24-year-old Tomasz "phr" Wójcik, the organization announced on Tuesday. The player joins after having represented teams like AGO, Virtus.pro and Illuminar Gaming in his past.
phr is brought in to be Wisła Kraków’s new in-game leader, however, he will, in the beginning, start as the secondary caller, head coach Mariusz “Loord” Cybulski confirms.
- The choice of Tomek is not accidental - It is a change that is expected to bring long-term benefits. phr will temporarily act as the secondary caller, but over time we want him to become the main IGL to take over from SZPER.
- For a long time, I have seen Wisła to be the team with the greatest potential, so I am glad to join the team. With the right mindset and enough time, I think we can achieve great things. For me, the main goal will be to win the Polish Championships and get to the top 25-30 HLTV (Ranking), and only after this is done, I will think about what to do next. (…) I'm hopeful, I'm playing well and, from what I hear, everyone is happy, says Tomasz "phr" Wójcik.
