O PLANO takes down FURIA in a shock win
The new Brazilian roster had no difficulties against their countrymen at CS_Summit 8.
The North American RMR event, CS_Summit has already seen its fair share of surprises.
In Group A, paiN delivered an upset against Evil Geniuses Thursday, and yesterday night O PLANO followed up with another big surprise win.
In the much-anticipated match against FURIA, the former FURIA sniper Henrique "HEN1" Teles was in the driver's seat throughout the match and lead an outright assault against his old teammates, who seemed paralyzed after the first half of Vertigo. O PLANO won the match 16-8, 16-8 and is now leading Group A.
In Group B, Bad News Bears came close in their opening match against Team Liquid. Despite being big favorites, Team Liquid lost their own map pick on Inferno to take the match into Overpass for the decider. Luckily for Team Liquid, Jonathan 'EliGE' Jablonowski was playing at his best to help secure the 2-1 victory and avoid another upset at the tournament.
The winners of Group A and Group B will now face each other, while the first-round losers will fight for survival in an early elimination match. The schedule for CS_Summit 8 looks like this:
