Eternal Fire and SKADE faced each other in the quarter-final of Pinnacle Cup IV, and even though the odds were heavily in favor of the Bulgarians, the Turkish roster ran away with the victory.

"dream3r" got off to a dreamy start on Etercanl Fire's pick of Nuke, which propelled SKADE into a 4-0 CT-side lead. The Turks returned fire by going on a 9-2 run to end the half, giving them a sizeable advantage as they headed to the preferred side.

SKADE also took the second half pistol round and after a couple of good rounds, the two were again equalized at 11-11. Eternal Fire finally shut down the Bulgarians with a five-round streak that saw them secure their map pick.

Moving on to the second map of the series which was SKADE's Inferno, the Turkish squad continued their victory streak by starting 3-0 on the CT side. This did not deter SKADE from playing a very reasonable T side where they managed to take seven rounds for themselves despite "XANTARES" and "woxic" doing a lot of damage.

Just like SKADE did on Nuke, Eternal Fire secured both pistol rounds of the map, and they were able to turn this second one into a big 6-1 winstreak even though "Calyx" unfortunately disconnected from the server, which led to SKADE taking their first CT-side round. Down 14-8, the Bulgarians started mounting a comeback and with six rounds in a row, they were back on an even keel. It was all for naught though as the Turkish team took the final two rounds and eliminated SKADE from the tournament.

The Grand Final of Elisa Invitational Winter 2021 had the two top30 teams of SKADE and HEET going head to head. The teams found themselves in the Grand Finals after knocking out the two top20 teams of Copenhagen Flames, and ENCE in the semi-finals.

The match kicked off on SKADE’s pick of Overpass, a map that the Bulgarians have a 6-1 record on over the last three months.

The T-side of SKADE got off to a great start, going 6-1 before HEET started to show themselves on the map. Even though the French side managed to answer back a little bit, overall, they did not have a lot of success in the opening half, as they were constantly losing opening duels on the B-site. SKADE led by 10-5 at halftime.

The Bulgarians continued their winning ways in the second half as they extended their lead by taking another pistol round, and a conversion. HEET now started showing signs of life, but it was too little too late, as their opponents were reading them very well. It was all said and done after 24 rounds, as “bubble” led his squad to a victory on map 1 at 16-8.

The action continued on HEET’s pick of Dust2, where the Bulgarians once again got off to a great start. This was massively due to an explosive start for “dream3r”, who carried his team to a 5-0 lead. HEET answered back with force, almost equalizing the score before SKADE once again took control of the game and put themselves in a winning position with a 10-5 halftime score.

The Frenchmen took the second half pistol round in convincing fashion, as they still had five people left alive at the end of the round. HEET converted the following anti-eco, but as soon as SKADE got their hands on some rifles they seemed like the strongest team. This led the Bulgarians to map- and match-point at 15-8. The French side was not able to do any more damage and the map went in favor of SKADE at 16-8.

Simeon "dream3r" Ganev and Kamen "bubble" Kostadinov has been benched on Team Fiend.

The two players are being replaced after eight months on the team, after a successful 2021, where Team Fiend has broken into the top 20 ranking in the world. They recently defeated Gambit at the V4 Future Sports Festival. 

Kamen "bubble" Kostadinov was the in-game leader on the team, while Simeon "dream3r" Ganev had the role as a rifler.

Team Fiend will play their next match on December 2nd.

The first map of the grand final would take us to Inferno. When they last faced each other the map carried on for 53 rounds before Copenhagen Flames could claim the victory. This time it was quite a different story. Fiend dominated from the first whistle blew. Copenhagen Flames did not get any breathing room as they were continually being pushed, out-dueled, and rained upon with grenades. Fiend showed the whole world how you can abuse that grenades are now droppable, with a strong early CT economy on Inferno. The score was 14-1 after the first half. The Danes only managed to secure one round on their CT-side, before they were beaten down, and the match concluded at 16-2.

The flames now had to reset mentally before going into the second map Nuke, which can be hard after being battered 16-2, especially for a roster with lesser experience.

And the Danes did look a little bit tired as they started on Nuke - a map which has not been historically great for Fiend. The Bulgarian squad looked composed and took seven of the first nine rounds led by IGL "bubble" who dropped 18 frags in the first half. Unexpectedly they took their foot off the pedal a little bit, which allowed the Flames to take six rounds on their T-side.

It looked as if the Flames was about to even the scoreline as they took the pistol round of the second half, but it was a short-lived success, as they were immediately shut down by the force of Fiend. On the back of that force-buy win, Fiend steamrolled the CT-side of Copenhagen Flames to take the map at 16-8.

The Bulgarians of Fiend are therefore champions of Elisa Invitational Fall 2021, winning $50000. The disappointed Danes on the other hand must settle for runner-up and a prize of $14000.

Fiend continued their impressive run at IEM Fall by securing a spot in the playoffs and second place in the group with yet another stellar win, this time comfortably defeating FaZe Clan on Mirage. FaZe still have a chance to qualify, but will need an overall 9th or 10th place that should most likely get them a spot depending on how a few other results will turn out.

The Bulgarian squad quickly bounced back on the defense with a forcebuy win after losing the pistol and continued to secure the next two rounds to go up 3-1 on the scoreboard. From there on, Fiend were in full control on Mirage and ended the first half with a 11-4 advantage. REDSTAR and company went on to dominate FaZe on the offense and closed out the map comfortably with a 16-6 scoreline, only allowing karrigan’s troops to grab two rounds in the second half.

The Ninjas managed to keep a flawless record in the group stage, following a 16-12 victory over DBL PONEY who are out in groups and can no longer qualify for the Major.
