Tricked declared bankrupt in court
One of the big developers of Danish CS:GO talents has filed for bankruptcy.
Tricked Esports has since 2012 been one of the most steady developers of the Danish CS:GO scene. In the future, the Danish talents will have to look elsewhere.
The last remaining member of the board at Tricked, Morten Høj Jensen, announced today on Twitter, that Tricked had filed for bankruptcy in the Bankruptcy Court.
- It's a sad and weird day to be in the Court of Bankruptcy as the last member of the Board at Tricked to file for bankruptcy. I will write a longer post when I have the strength for it, but right now I just want to go home and recuperate.
Tricked had already back in February announced, that they would lower their ambitions for their professional esports division and that they would be ready to immediately release their current roster if any new teams approached them. Former Astralis player Philip "Lucky" Ewald is the most prominent player on the squad, that is currently playing a match in the Elisa Invitational Spring 2023 Contenders tournament. It is still unknown what consequences that the bankruptcy will have on the team.
Tricked Esports have had names such as Frederik "acoR" Gyldstrand, Rasmus "sjuush" Beck, Lucas "Bubzkji" Andersen, Fredrik "roeJ" Jørgensen, Dennis "sycrone" Nielsen, Ismail "refrezh" Ali, Magnus "Nodios" Olsen (in photo), Nicolai "HUNDEN" Petersen, Johannes "b0RUP" Borup, Patrick "es3tag" Hansen, Nikolaj "niko" Kristensen, and Casper "cadiaN" Møller on the payroll at some time during the 11 years, that Tricked was active on the Danish CS:GO scene.
In 2019 Tricked's biggest tournament win came when the lineup of sjuush, acoR, Bubzkji, roeJ, and HUNDEN won V4 Future Sports Festival for a prize of $165,000.
