Former Chaos IGL leaves CS:GO
The successful team captain deserts from an already ruptured NA scene, lacking both potent teams and player.
Yesterday, the former Chaos In-game leader, Anthnoy “vanity” Malaspina announced his retirement from CS:GO, after some weeks speculation. The American international has disclosed that he leaves CS:GO to pursue a career in Riot Gaming’s similar first-person shooter Valorant.

“This won’t come as a surprise, but I’ll be transitioning to VALORANT full time.
CSGO changed my life and I’ll forever be grateful for the experience, but unfortunately, all good things come to an end. Thank you to all of the people I’ve had the chance to interact with throughout the years whether that be teammates/TOs/coaches/staff and most importantly the supporters.
With all of this being said I’m excited to have the opportunity to prove myself in a new environment and start the next chapter of my career.”

The former eUnited and Swole Patrol player have had a quite successful 2020 season with Eric “Xeppaa” Bach, Nathan “leaf” Orf and the rest of Chaos. vanity has led the promising NA team to strong victories at IEM Beijing NA and DreamHack Masters Winter NA, resulting in a remarkable #17 spot on HLTV’s world ranking.
The organization behind Chaos decided in early December to pull the plug on their CS:GO team, even though vanity and co. have shown an impressive and promising level of CS. Something, that meant that vanity and the rest of Chaos stood without a contract or team per. 01/01-2021.
