Malta is set to become the epicenter of Counter-Strike 2 action this autumn as the Thunderpick World Championship 2026 finally gets underway. Hosted by GAM3RS_X, this S-Tier LAN event is bringing a $1,000,000 prize pool to the sun-soaked Mediterranean island. Four top 10 squads are packing their gear for the event, where eight teams will compete for the $500K in first prize.
With a massive payout that splits the winnings directly between the players and their respective organizations, the competitive drive has never been fiercer. Seven teams received direct invites based on their dominant Valve Regional Standings (VRS), while Virtus.pro fought tooth and nail through a grueling closed qualifier to lock in the final spot.
