The new Astralis roster, led by Casper “cadiaN” Møller, has had a disastrous start to their new adventure.
First, the Danish team found itself embroiled in a controversial situation ahead of the BLAST Premier Fall, HLTV questioned their emergency substitution of the newly signed captain, cadiaN.
Fast forward to Wednesday evening, when Astralis was completely obliterated in cadiaN’s debut match, suffering a 13-0 loss against Vitality. The French team continued their dominance on Dust2, defeating cadiaN, device, and the rest of Astralis 13-4.

Post-match interview with device
Following the match, James Bank and BLAST caught up with Nicolai “device” Reedtz for comments on the devastating loss, as well as the off-server saga surrounding Astralis and BLAST.
– First of all, I think this is my first 13-0 loss or 16-0 as it was in CS:GO. So yeah, that sucks. I don’t think we showed up at all – of course, we got some rounds on Dust2 – but karma was not with us. We couldn’t really finish anything, we stressed our mid-rounds, and we did not react to what they were doing as well. It’s just how it is sometimes. It’s one game so it’s not going to break the team, but it was not the debut that we hoped for, device said.
James Banks: From the outside with everything going around you guys, did you feel a build

up of pressure in the server because of that?
– It would be a lie to say no. I think, as I also said with the karma and everything. We are just the players but we’re getting a lot of the comments [directed] at us. That’s just how it is. We just have to be strong as a team and show character. We wanted to do that on the server, but we didn’t. So now we just have to protect each other and make sure we get ready for tomorrow, device said to BLAST and Banks.
