Valve release all of the updated maps in new CS2 update
A new day, a new update from Valve.
The much-anticipated Counter-Strike 2 is yet to be fully released, however, a fresh update has been presented Thursday night by Valve. In the release notes, the game developers announce that all the maps which are in the beta version are now available to be played.
But unfortunately, you will have to wait to play competitively on the nine selected maps as Valve only made them available to play in casual and deathmatch mode. The list of maps includes:
o Dust2
o Overpass
o Mirage
o Vertigo
o Nuke
o Ancient
o Anubis
o Office
o Italy
Bullet penetration gets a rework
Besides the release of Italy, Ancient, Dust2 and all the other maps, Valve has changed the way bullets penetrate through surfaces and bodies. ThourCS, a user on the social media X (formerly known as Twitter), explains the above-mentioned change in two videos down below.
You can see the full update down below:
[ MAPS ]
· All maps previously shipped in the Limited Test are available in casual and deathmatch matchmaking
· All maps and game modes previously shipped in the Limited Test are available for offline play
[ GAMEPLAY ]
· Dropped bombs no longer sink in water
· Reworked the bullet penetration system
· Enabled bot takeover where applicable
Shorter matches?
A recent leak, put forward by a credible source, implies that a significant change will be implemented in Counter-Strike 2, reducing the number of rounds played in competitive matches. That is something you can read more about in the article down below.
