NiKo reportedly joining Falcons in a seven-figure deal after Shanghai Major
Could he be the saving grace for the struggling Falcons squad?
According to a report by Sheep Esports, G2’s star rifler Nikola “NiKo” Kovač is set to join Falcons, with the move becoming official in January 2025.
The report claims that sources have revealed Falcons paid between $1 to $1.2 million for the 27-year-old rifler, who is expected to sign a three-year contract with the Saudi organization.
NiKo is anticipated to complete the year with G2, with the upcoming Perfect World Shanghai Major likely being his final tournament alongside Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov and the rest of the G2 roster.
It’s not a well-oiled machine that NiKo has agreed to join—far from it, in fact. The Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer-led Falcons squad has struggled to make consistent deep runs in tournaments, remaining outside the top 10 in the world rankings since April.
Currently, the team consists of captain Snappi, Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen, Emil “Magisk” Reif, Pavle “Maden” Bošković, and AWPer Alvaro “SunPayus” Garcia.
