Think you know CS2? Prove it in the Pick’em.
The Cologne Major is fast approaching, and a new CS2 Major also means the return of Pick’Ems. Even before the first-round matchups are finalized, we are here to offer our predictions for the Stage 1 Pick’Ems.
Qualify 3-0
There are always different strategies to employ for the Pick’Ems. We rarely expect the highest seeds to have a flawless run through the Swiss stage. Because the matchups can be highly unpredictable, we prefer to select some of the riskier teams to go 3-0.
BetBoom
MIBR
BetBoom could go 3-0, but they could just as easily suffer an early exit. Therefore, they are an ideal candidate to fill one of these high-risk spots.
Another team fitting this profile is MIBR. We expect them to showcase standout individual performances, particularly from kl1m and insani. It could go either way for the Brazilian squad, but they certainly have the potential to go on a run.

Qualify 3-1 or 3-2
The teams generally expected to advance with a 3-0 or 3-1 record are GamerLegion, B8, HEROIC, BetBoom, and BIG. However, since it is almost guaranteed that some of these rosters will face each other, it is safer to place them in this bracket.
Additionally, even though Team Liquid sits further down on the VRS rankings, they are fully expected to qualify for Stage 2.

Eliminated 0-3
Predicting the 0-3 bracket is highly dependent on the opening matchups, but you should expect to hit at least one correctly. Many of the teams in this conversation perform exceptionally well in their respective domestic regions, making it interesting to see how they will fare against international competition.
The two Australian teams are a coin toss, meaning an 0-3 spot could easily fall to either FlyQuest or THUNDER dOWNUNDER.
Lynn Vision
THUNDER dOWNUNDER
It is entirely possible that both Australian teams will wave an early goodbye to the tournament. However, Lynn Vision is also firmly in that conversation, which is why we have included them in our final considerations.
