Mathias ”MSL” Lauridsen is no longer tied with the Swiss Esports organization TITANS. Something the Danish in-game leader has confirmed on his Twitter this weekend, marking an end to a very short spell with the team that also consisted of the likes of Tomáš “oskar” Šťastný and Miikka “suNny” Kemppi.

TITANS entered CS:GO in August this year with the signing of the European mix. The team was led by MSL, who previously has been in charge of North, Dignitas, and Rogue, but the success in TITANS never came, which the organization now has taken the consequences of.

Last week, the Czech AWPer, oskar, announced that he was no longer a part of the TITANS roster after contractual agreements were not being met. The organization reportedly hadn’t paid oskar and some of his other teammates' full salary and bootcamp expenses, which made the Czech AWPer hit out at the organization.

In a recent interview with Sazka Esport, oskar went into more specific details about what was wrong with the organization, indicating that a lot of things did not work out from the beginning.

“They promised us that they would pay, but I waited four months for the first salary. When they sent the money, they promised more, but then nothing came, so I only received one and a half salary for those 9 months.”

The thing that oskar regrets the most is that he didn’t ask his former colleagues from his days in mousesports more about the organization before joining them, stating that no one told him about the difficulties.

“SuNny and lmbt have been writing to me throughout my time in SINNERS asking me to play with them. Then I succumbed to it. During the time that they wrote to me, they never once wrote to me that there were any problems with money. If they let me know, then I could have a clear signal to stay away from it.”

But it wasn’t just about the conditions regarding the salaries, it also didn’t work for the team in terms of their gameplay either, as the results showed.

Despite all this happening, the Czech AWPer isn’t heading for retirement anytime soon and in 2023 we will see him wearing the SINNERS jersey once again.

Magnus “Nodios” Olsen isn’t the only player who has had a bad experience with the Swiss organization, TITANS, who reportedly haven’t paid some of their player's full salary and bootcamp expenses. “Happy to say that today is the day I am finally out of the Titans show. The decision was made since the contractual agreements were not met and I am looking forward to my new journey. What a wasted year for me once again.” – oskar wrote on Twitter.

The TITANS CS:GO team made their way into the Counter-Strike scene back in August, with MSL, Nodios, oskar, supra, and suNny on the roster. Their results never became good and in the start of Oktober this year, Nodios announced his departure before MSL’s contract with the Swiss organization expired.

It’s yet unknown whether supra and suNny are still under contract with the organization.

When TITANS entered the CS:GO scene with a lineup starred by Tomáš "oskar" Šťastný, Miikka "suNny" Kemppi, and the in-game leader Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen, it was with great hopes to climb the rankings.

Now, only two months after officially forming the roster, TITANS are set to disband the current roster with the organization stating that they are taking offers for suNny, oskar, Anton “supra” Tšernobai, and the coach Serhei “lmbt” Bezhanov.

Struggling to find a footing in the lower tiers

Since their very start, TITANS have struggled to find their place in CS:GO losing to low-tier competition tournament after tournament. The experienced lineup peaked with a #90 spot on the world ranking- however, they quickly dropped out of the Top 100 after a couple of weeks.

Tomáš "oskar" Šťastný is still going strong at the age of 31 in CS:GO. Currently, the former mousesports' star is playing on TITANS, where he has teamed up with notable names such as Miikka 'suNny' Kemppi and Mathias 'MSL' Lauridsen.

Against his fellow Czech countrymen from ECLOT, oskar managed to make an impressive four kills with his AWP on the defense of Dust2. In the end, it was not enough for TITANS, who ended up losing the match. As a consolation prize, oskar takes home our Pley of the Day for his beautiful play.
