FaZe secure spot in IEM Fall 2021 EU
karrigan’s troops took down OPAA to qualify for the IEM Fall 2021 Europe event.
FaZe Clan are through to the IEM Fall 2021 Europe after taking down the Danish squad from OPAA 2-0 in the upper bracket round of 16 in the Closed Qualifier.
The matchup began on FaZe’s pick of Mirage, where karrigan’s troops completely smashed OPAA and dominated them out of the server. FaZe’s offensive capability shined going forward, with every player from the team playing absolutely beautiful as they attained an incredible 15-0 advantage before the second half. Luckily for OPAA, they managed to avoid the 16-0 as they picked up the pistol round in the second half before FaZe closed out the map with a forcebuy win.
On OPAA’s pick of Overpass we saw a fully focused Danish side that didn’t allow FaZe to trash them like they did on Mirage. The Danish squad quickly found themselves up 6-2 on the T side. But from there on, FaZe Clan managed to regain control and finished the first half with a 8-7 lead before crushing the Danes in the second half and closing out the map 16-9 to wrap up the series.
