FalleN: You could easily fill a stadium with 75.000 spectators for the Rio Major
The legendary AWPer has high hopes for the upcoming Major in Brazil.
Two months ago it was announced that the upcoming CS:GO Major will be hosted in the big Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro. Despite the massive interest and popularity of CS:GO in South America, it will be the first-ever Major on South American soil.
In OG’s “Monky Business” show on YouTube, Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo, arguably the biggest personality in Brazilian CS:GO, discussed the Rio Major, discussed the Rio Major. Here FalleN touched on the massive support from Brazilian CS:GO fans and how the Major could attract way more spectators than before.
You can easily fill a stadium with 75.000 people to watch the Rio Major. I can guarantee you that a 75.000 Major event in Brazil will be completely doable. Which is insane – I don’t think there is any country that could do that this way.
I think this will be the best Major ever. For every Brazilian player, this is the moment to peak, this is where you have to be. You got to find a way to be there because I think that would be a dream come true for all Brazilians to be able to play in front of a crowd like that.
I actually think there’s a chance that there will be no Brazilian team playing on the stage in front of a crowd if teams do not level up for the better in the next months. Because for this you’ll need to get into the top 8.
You can hear FalleN elaborate his thoughts in the full episode down below.
IEM Rio is set to take place from October 31 to November 13 and will feature 24 from all over the globe.
