BOOM claimed victory in the grand final of the FFL Global Finals after defeating Isurus with Fernando “fer” Alvarenga as a stand-in.
The Brazilian squad with fer as a stand-in. had little difficulty in dispatching Furious in their opening match of the tournament, setting up a title decider against the Argentinian-side, who advanced directly to the grand final after Heretics withdrew from the tournament due to travel restrictions.
BOOM ended 2020 on a high note as they took down Isurus 2-0 on Mirage (16-5) and Inferno (19-16) to net their ninth tournament win in a row, continuing a dominant run that began by winning the South American division of ESL One: Road to Rio back in April.
