Who Valve’s November VRS sends to Cluj-Napoca and BLAST Bounty

Astralis hold the last direct PGL Cluj-Napoca invite, six European teams head to the closed qualifier, and the PGL Bucharest clash reshapes BLAST Bounty.

Astralis hold the last direct invite to Romania by eight points, six European sides go to a closed qualifier in under two weeks, and the PGL Bucharest clash reshapes the Bounty field.

Valve’s 2 November VRS, published on Monday evening, does more than settle the PGL Major Singapore. The same standings decide the invites for PGL Cluj-Napoca in February and BLAST Bounty 2027 Season 1 in January, and for six European teams the next step comes quickly: a closed qualifier for Cluj-Napoca from 15 to 18 November.

PGL Cluj-Napoca: 14 invites and two places to fight for

PGL Cluj-Napoca is played at the BT Arena from 13 to 21 February with 16 teams, a $1,000,000 prize pool and another $300,000 in VRS bonuses. The five highest-ranked teams that accept their invite get $60,000 each. Fourteen places go straight to the top of Valve’s global standings, and the last two are decided online.

Those 14 global places fall to:

Astralis are the last team in, eight points ahead of Ninjas in Pyjamas on 1,564. If a team turns down its invite, the place moves further down Valve’s list.

The closed qualifier is a European affair. Six places go to the next European teams in the standings, and two more are filled through open qualifiers. Dust2.dk lists the six invited sides, and they match Valve’s European table from 13th to 18th:

The eight teams play a double-elimination bracket of Bo3 series, and two of them go to Romania. All six are also going to Singapore, so the qualifier ends six days before the Major starts on 24 November.

Three teams that sit between them in the global standings have no route through that qualifier. The MongolZ are 17th with 1,554 points, MIBR 19th and Team Liquid 21st, all outside the 14 invites, and none of them is European.

BLAST Bounty: the Bucharest clash decides the field

BLAST Bounty 2027 Season 1 is a 16-team LAN in Malta with a $1.25 million prize pool, ending on 24 January. Twelve teams are invited from the November global VRS, and the last four come from qualifiers in Europe, North America, South America and Asia.

On paper the 12 invites go to the global top 12. In practice the event overlaps PGL Bucharest 2027, which runs from 17 to 24 January and already has its 14 invited teams in place. Eleven of the global top 12 are among them. 1win are the only team in that group not heading to Bucharest.

If the Bucharest teams stay with PGL, the invites run down Valve’s standings to these 12:

The margin at the bottom is one point. M80 have 1,489, while HOTU and Fnatic both have 1,488, so a single decline higher up would bring one of the two European sides into the picture. 9z are one point above M80.
