The team list for BLAST Rivals Season 1 has been revealed, featuring a stacked lineup for the upcoming $350,000 tournament.
MOUZ, Spirit, and the red-hot Vitality have all confirmed their attendance, meaning the top three teams in the world are set to clash in Copenhagen later this month.
The likes of ZywOo, donk, and Brollan will be joined by FaZe, Falcons, paiN, Wildcard, and FlyQuest.
The four latter teams were invited based on their regional rankings in Valve’s official leaderboard, each representing a different wildcard slot from South America, Europe, North America, and Asia respectively.
A late location change
Originally set to take place in Monterrey, Mexico, BLAST Rivals Season 1 was primed to become the first top-tier CS event in the region in several years.
However, due to “unforeseen logistical challenges,” BLAST announced earlier this week that the tournament will instead be held at their studio in Copenhagen, Denmark.
This change means the event will be played without a live audience.
BLAST Rivals Season 1 will run from April 30 to May 4.
