MiBR avoid disaster at IEM Cologne

The team touted to go 3-0 was a round away from facing elimination.

The team touted to go 3-0 was a round away from facing elimination.

MiBR started the day horrendously, losing to THUNDER dOWNUNDER, already shattering predictions for the event. Against TYLOO, they seemed to have recovered, picking up a 10-2 half on Nuke.

That lead quickly faded away, as they could not find solutions on their T-side. TYLOO started to play their best game, and got up to 12-11. They failed to close out after bringing it close.

Player of the match: LNZ

It ended up being a captain’s performance, as LNZ brought it over the line with multikills and aggressive T-side calling that clinched the map.

NRG best SINNERS

NRG avoided going down to the 0-2 pool, after defeating SINNERS 13-6 on Nuke. Grim continued his rampage, finally hitting pink form since donning the NRG jersey earlier this year.

The match took place on Nuke, where NRG as a whole outplayed SINNERS, getting a 7-round T-side. Their AWPer didn’t have much to do as he only had 7 kills, but it didn’t end up mattering.

NRG had a strong Day 1, as they were also poised to beat GamerLegion, a favorite to go 3-0.

Player of the Match: Grim

There was no doubt that Grim was the player of the match. With almost +10% round swing, 1.89 rating and going 3:0 in opening kills, he was unstoppable on the server today.
