Organizations with the most Major titles
Finals counts every grand final a team has played, and Top 4 every time it reached the semi-finals. The title Outsiders won in Rio in 2022 counts for Virtus.pro: it was the Virtus.pro organization and roster, playing under a neutral name after tournament organizers barred Russian organizations from using their brands.

Watch the official broadcastRead our PGL Singapore Major guideThe early Swedish and French dominance
In the early years of CS:GO, Swedish teams controlled the highest level of play. Ninjas in Pyjamas reached the first five Major finals in a row, though they won only one of them. Fnatic capitalized on this era, winning three Majors between 2013 and 2015. French rosters provided the main opposition, with Team LDLC and Team EnVyUs claiming one title each, which kept the trophy in Europe until 2016.
Brazilian success and the North American victory
The competitive hierarchy shifted in 2016. Luminosity Gaming and SK Gaming showed that high-level discipline and tactical structure were not exclusive to Europe.

Led by Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo and Marcelo “coldzera” David, the Brazilian core won consecutive Majors in Columbus and Cologne. Two years later, at the ELEAGUE Major in Boston, Cloud9 beat FaZe Clan to win the first and only Major for a North American roster.
The Astralis era
Between 2017 and 2019, Astralis established control over competitive Counter-Strike. The Danish roster won four Majors in total, including three in a row in London, Katowice and Berlin. The core of Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander, Andreas “Xyp9x” Højsleth, Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz and Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen changed how the game was played, with precise utility, spacing and structured team play.
Post-pandemic competition and the transition to CS2
After the return to LAN, Natus Vincere won the PGL Major Stockholm 2021 without dropping a map and gave Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev his first Major title. In 2022, FaZe Clan took the trophy in Antwerp under Finn “karrigan” Andersen.
The release of CS2 reset the circuit. Natus Vincere won the first CS2 Major in Copenhagen in 2024, and Team Spirit won the Perfect World Shanghai Major later that year, driven by 17-year-old Danil “donk” Kryshkovets.
Vitality claims consecutive titles in 2025
Team Vitality were the leading force of 2025 and won back-to-back Majors at the BLAST.tv Austin Major and the StarLadder Budapest Major.

With Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut named MVP of both events and Robin “ropz” Kool closing out late rounds, Vitality reached a level of Major success not seen since Astralis and took the organization to three titles.
Falcons win their first Major in Cologne
Vitality went to the IEM Cologne Major 2026 with the chance to match Astralis’ four titles, but Falcons beat them 2-1 in the quarter-final on the way to the organization’s first Major. In the grand final, Falcons swept FURIA 3-0, and Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov was named MVP. Coach zonic won his sixth Major, and Finn “karrigan” Andersen, who played as a substitute, won his second, four years after Antwerp.
