Unplayable ropz and ZywOo get Vitality to 2-1 record

MOUZ managed to defeat Vitality on Dust2 to send it to a decider, but ZywOo and ropz carried Vitality through Mirage and Inferno.

MOUZ managed to defeat Vitality on Dust2 to send it to a decider, but ZywOo and ropz carried Vitality through Mirage and Inferno.

MOUZ and Vitality faced off in the 1-1 pool for a match that did not decide qualification or elimination, but was crucial in getting both teams there.

MOUZ showed good form, taking a map off Vitalitly which they have not done since 2025.

ZywOo and ropz combine for clean Mirage win

MOUZ picked Mirage, hoping to take advantage of one of Vitality’s weaker points. It was a must-win map for them, but Mathieu ‘ZywOo‘ Herbaut and Robin ‘ropz‘ Kool denied them.

Together, they put out a masterclass of 19 frags each, with ropz taking over the T-side by punishing MOUZ’s aggression.

MOUZ had chances early in the map, taking command of the T-side. With Dorian ‘xertioN’ Berman leading them, they got up to a 6-4 lead, beofre Vitality took the last two rounds.

Vitality got rolling on their T-side, streaking multiple rounds after the pistol. MOUZ started to make a comeback, but it was too late. As they do, Vitality won the clutch rounds and stole MOUZ’s map pick.

MOUZ take down Vitality on their home map

After losing Mirage, it looked dire for MOUZ to win this series and stave away elimination from the Major. They had to beat Vitality on Dust2, a map where they have not beaten Vitality since March of 2025.

Vitality’s 11-2 record on the map looked impenetrable, however, they gave up the map to 9z yesterday, letting doubt creep in. And it could not have been more straightforward for MOUZ.

MOUZ started on CT-side, losing the pistol and going down 0-3. However, that did not seem to affect them. They went on a streak of rounds, taking the lead 6-4 eventually.

That could have gone even further, as youngster Adrian ‘xelex’ Vincze almost aced Vitality before apEX closed out a 1v2 clutch.

On the T-side, MOUZ was far ahead of Vitality, who did not seem coordinated in defense or aggression on the map. MOUZ took advantage, with the aforementioned Adrian ‘xelex’ Vincze finding opening kills and Adam ‘torzsi’ Torzsas closing out the post-plants.

After losing, Dan ‘apEX’ Madesclarie and Mathieu ‘ZywOo’ Herbaut were visible arguing.

MOUZ had no chance on Inferno

After losing the pistol, MOUZ went on a run of three gun rounds to stay in the map. However, they had little to no chance up against the best duo in CS2 firing on all cylinders.

On the CT-side, ropz was a constant nuisance and ZywOo was hitting everything. Right when MOUZ was gaining momentum, the two combined in Round 7 thanks to a Deagle double kill from ZywOo.

Vitality rolled on from there with their K/D only increasing as MOUZ were like headless chickens.

On the T-side, Vitality cleanly closed an 8-4 half in straightforward fashion, winning 13-4 to get a step closer to the LANxess Arena.

Player of the match: ZywOo

Mathieu ‘ZywOo’ Herbaut was the player of the match, key to Vitality’s wins on Mirage and Inferno. He did over 100 damage per round and had 57 kills, nearly 20 per map.

He did not have the most AWP kills, that stat going towards Adam ‘torzsi’ Torzsas. But ZywOo’s form on the winning maps and 1.63 rating were undeniable.
