SilkLeaf Valorant Skin Bundle: Elegant Filler or Must-Have Deluxe?

The latest skin collection to hit the Valorant store is the SilkLeaf bundle. While it arrives during a relatively quiet period for the game, this Deluxe-tier collection offers a clean, geometric aesthetic that might just catch the eye of players looking for a sophisticated “filler” set before the next major release.

What’s in the Bundle?

The SilkLeaf collection features a sleek, white-and-gold color palette with sharp, crystalline edges. The bundle includes skins for a versatile mix of weaponry:

  • Baton (Melee): A stylish folding fan, which has quickly become one of the most popular melee types in the game.
  • Vandal: A sharp addition for rifle enthusiasts.
  • Marshall: Perfect for those clean long-range picks.
  • Stinger: A high-speed option for eco-rounds.
  • Sheriff: Adding to the limited pool of premium skins for the heavy pistol.

Pricing and Tier

SilkLeaf is classified as a Deluxe Edition bundle. Based on previous releases in this tier, the expected pricing breakdown is as follows:

  • Individual Weapon Skins: 1,275 VP each.
  • SilkLeaf Fan (Melee): 2,550 VP (unless a specific “fan tax” is applied).
  • Full Bundle Price: Approximately 5,100 VP.

While Deluxe skins generally lack the finishers and custom animations of Premium or Exclusive bundles, the inclusion of a fan-style melee adds significant value, as these are often preferred for their unique pull-out and inspect animations.

Patch 12.04: Key Gameplay and UI Updates

While the SilkLeaf bundle is the visual highlight of the week, Patch 12.04 also introduced several “quality-of-life” changes that players should notice immediately:

  • Killjoy Turret Quality-of-Life: In a move that mirrors the placement of a Sage Wall, Killjoy players can now rotate the orientation of the Turret before deployment, allowing for much more precise defensive setups.
  • Updated Post-Game UI: The end-of-match screen has been overhauled to provide a clearer breakdown of Rank Rating (RR) gains and losses, making it easier to track your climb.
  • Store Interface Changes: Various UI elements within the in-game store and collection tabs have been refreshed for a cleaner look.

The Healer is Coming

Perhaps the most exciting news tucked away in this update is the latest teaser for the upcoming agent. Riot has confirmed that the next addition to the Protocol will be a male Healer. With Patch 12.04 being the final update before the new agent’s debut, expect the social media teaser campaign to ramp up significantly over the next two weeks.
