For AWP players, CS2 offers a few maps that are especially well-suited for long-range precision shots and dominating key areas. Based on data from the world’s top AWP players, we’ve ranked the best maps for sniper kills to help you understand where the “Big Green” thrives.

These ten players have been used to make the calculations. We’ve selected the players on the highest-ranked teams who have been on the same team for the past 12 months and have not had any competitive breaks during that time.

Here’s a look at the best maps for AWP kills, ranked from highest to lowest, and what makes each map a sniper’s paradise.

1. Dust2 (8.17 Average AWP Kills)

Dust2 continues to be a classic map for AWPers, offering open sightlines and long-range duels that are perfect for snipers. The control of Long A and mid are key areas where AWP players can dominate. It’s a map where good positioning and map awareness can lead to multiple impactful frags.

2. Mirage (7.86 Average AWP Kills)

3. Anubis (6.79 Average AWP Kills)

The mid and B-site areas provide wide-open sightlines, giving snipers plenty of room to take shots from strategic positions. With aggressive plays and smart positioning, Anubis offers a sniper’s dream.

4. Inferno (6.09 Average AWP Kills)

Inferno is a compact map where AWPers can shine in close-quarter engagements. The narrow corridors, particularly around Banana and mid, offer prime opportunities for AWP players to control key areas and get impactful kills. Sniping at tight angles around A-site or B-site is crucial to success on this map.

It’s a more tactical map, where positioning and map control are key for snipers to thrive.

Train*

While Train has historically been a great map for AWPers, the current data on the map is too sparse to rank properly. However, it remains one of the most sniper-friendly maps, especially for long-range duels along the A site or CT side.

Due to the limited number of maps played, Train is excluded from the main ranking but will likely remain a strong map for snipers once its data is more substantial.
