Since peaking back in 2021 and 2022 with their Russian-speaking line-up, things have been sort of quiet over at the Entropiq camp. Failing to hit the ground running in the 2023 season the organization has initiated a rebuild of their roster. Headlining the new-look roster, among many other talented players, is the German Tizian "tiziaN" Feldbusch. 

Led by German Head Coach Nicklas “enkay J” Krumhorn, the new roster of Entropiq will seek to once again establish themselves within the professional CS:GO as a tier-one roster.

Tizian "tiziaN" Feldbusch has left BIG after more than five years on the team.

Daniel Finkler, CEO of BIG thanked tiziaN for his efforts on the team.

- We have experienced a lot together and I am thankful for the unforgettable moments with you and the team. The five years have passed very quickly. I can still remember your first day today. One thing is clear: Tizi will always be part of our history and I wish him all the best on his further path!

Tizian "tiziaN" Feldbusch was part of the BIG roster that in 2020 reached the #1 position on HLTV world ranking. 

Berlin-based esports organization, BIG, has announced that their player, Tizian “tiziaN” Feldbusch has entered free agency. In a statement released, tiziaN revealed that he is looking for a new team as BIG has allowed him to explore his options.

The 26-year-old German player expressed his excitement about the future and mentioned that he is open to different roles, including in-game leader and support.

“I am flexible in my role as I would do IGL/Support. I haven’t felt this good in years and I am buzzing about what the future holds”

During his time under the BIG banner, tiziaN helped the team acquire several trophies, playing a vital role in their victories at DreamHack Masters Spring 2020, cs_summit 6 Europe, DreamHack Open Summer 2020, FunSpark ULTI 2020 Europe Final, and most recently, Roobet Cup 2022.

Last month’s IEM Cologne was the perfect opportunity for BIG to showcase themselves and relish the moment of playing in front of thousands of German fans on home turf in the iconic LANXESS arena.

However, it ended up being quite the letdown as they were eliminated even before the actual main event, falling short to Astralis in the Play-in stage.

A result that hit BIG captain, and native Cologne citizen, Johannes “tabseN” Wodarz especially hard.

Being a German organization and playing with a fully-German roster clearly means a lot for BIG – but not at all cost, tabseN explains.

Earlier this month it was announced that Nils “k1to” Gruhne would rejoin the BIG roster after a stint on their academy team. The 23-year-old rifler replaced Tizian "tiziaN" Feldbusch. We asked tabseN to explain the decision.

BIG will be in action tomorrow when tabseN and company are set to continue their campaign at BLAST Premier Fall Groups. Here the Germans will battle G2 for a spot in the next round at the $177.500 tournament.

BIG has announced the return of the well-known German rifler Nils "k1to" Gruhne. The 23-year-old German is replacing tiziaN in the lineup. tiziaN has lately not been showing the best performances, sporting a 0.97 rating over time as a BIG player. But tiziaN has been a part of the German organization's trophy runs at DreakHack Open Summer 2020, DreamHack Masters Spring 2020, cs_summit 6, FunSpark ULTI 2020 Europe Final, and recently Roobet Cup 2022.

k1to will be back in action for the first time, after spending six months on the Academy roster where he played the role of an in-game leader. The BIG squad is in Berlin getting ready for the second half of the 2022 season, which will be kicking off on August 21 at BLAST Premier Fall Groups. 

BIG have been on a roll recently. After being crowned as the Roobet Cup 2022 champions, BIG have made sure that everybody is aware of just how dangerously good the German Machine can be when in form. Currently ranked as #9 in the world, a great performance at the upcoming IEM Cologne 2022 event might catapult BIG into the top five CS:GO teams in the world. 

BIG also had a great start to their IEM Cologne 2022 campaign, securing a victory in their opening match at the Play-In. Without too much difficulty, BIG carried on their latest form and took down ORDER with a 16-7 victory. All of this is happening despite BIG playing with a stand-in. When asked about why they are so good right now, "tiziaN" had the following explanation:

The opening match for ENCE at BLAST Premier Spring Final had BIG on the menu. The result was two long games where neither team ever really got it going on the T side.

The Bo3 kicked off on BIG's pick of Mirage, but the Germans did not get the start they had hoped for. A dismal performance on the T side only netted them two rounds at the half.

In an extremely surprising turn of events, BIG, led by 'tiziaN', managed to turn the game on its head and make a historic comeback. Down eleven rounds at the break, the Germans managed to force the game into overtime, and even had the lead at 14-13. The fairytale story was not to be though, as ENCE comfortably won overtime 4-1.

The dominant CT sides continued as the teams traveled to Nuke. With an early 9-0 run from BIG, the Germans got a good foothold in the match. ENCE made the best of a bad situation and secured four rounds at halftime, making a comeback doable, though doubtful as 'tabseN' was firing on all cylinders.

What had been an almost CT-only series continued with ENCE in the role of the defenders. The 'Snappi'-led squad managed to turn a seven-round deficit into a 16-13 win, and thereby took the series 2-0.

Today's Pley of the Day features two German sharpshooters named Johannes "tabseN" Wodarz and Tizian "tiziaN" Feldbusch. In a match against Entropiq yesterday, the BIG duo showcased how to win a round only with the help of two deagles.

Tizian "tiziaN" Feldbusch is an experienced gentleman in the Counter-Strike scene. The 25-year-old German have played for BIG since 2018, where he’s been one of Johannes “tabseN” Wodarz’ most loyal soldiers. However, tiziaN can also frag out himself.

In yesterday’s match against Apeks at IEM Dallas Closed Qualifier, tiziaN got himself a phenomenal ace on Mirage after an excellent trigger discipline play. Watch it right here.

In Counter-Strike there will always be certain players who prefer certain guns. Whilst there is no debate which T-sided rifle is the best, seeing that the AK-47 is the only top tier rifle available for the T-sided players, there has been heavy debate over the years on whether the M4A4 or M4A1-S is the best CT-sided rifle to play with. 

For a long period of time, it was very rare to see anyone use the M4A1-S. It seemed as if every professional player had equipped the M4A4 due to its bigger clip and higher fire rate. This, however, changed when the M4A1-S was recently 'buffed'. After being dropped in price, and with more players beginning to appreciate and utilize the advantages gained by the silencer, it was almost a must to have the M4A1-S equipped. 

Some time after the M4A1-S buff, more pros have begun to use the M4A4 again, all be it still very few. In a series of interviews, Betway esports asked various pros which weapon they prefer. When asked about the CT-sided rifles, the German rifler "tiziaN" explained why he opts for the M4A4 himself:

Whilst G2 have just defeated NiP to earn a spot in the Group A Final, BIG and Complexity were set to lock horns in the other end of the spectrum. Fighting for survival at the BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2022, a lot was on the line as the two teams entered the server. Both BIG and Complexity took a loss against their opponents in the opening round of play, however, at least one of the two would get the chance to end up in the Group Final against G2. The map to determine the better roster was chosen to be Nuke. Whilst Complexity have already played Nuke once today it is also a very tactical-minded map that fits the playing style of BIG to a tee.

Starting on the CT-side it was BIG to gain an early advantage with an impressive 6-0 lead, just as they did against NiP earlier on Overpass. Complexity answered back in the seventh round. Despite a stellar performance from “Grim”, allowing his team to claw back a handful of rounds it was still the well-oiled German machine to hold on to their advantage going into the second half of Nuke at the scoreline of 10-5. The CT-side of Complexity proved more potent than their T-side as they caused trouble for BIG to break down in the early stages of the second half. However, once BIG got going, and thanks to an instrumental 1v3 clutch from “tiziaN”, the German machine managed to best the new Complexity roster at the scoreline of 16-10.

With Group A and Group B having been concluded we are now beginning to see the teams from Group C of the ESL Pro League Season 14 event locking horns. With Group C arguably being the strongest group at the event there have been and will come many intense Bo3-series. One of these interesting Bo3-series was between BIG and fnatic. With both teams having made recent changes to their starting roster it was unclear as to how they would perform going into the event. BIG started their first Bo3-series with greater success than fnatic netting them three points whereas fnatic had to see themselves defeated and at zero points. This would soon change for the fnatic roster, however, as they managed to best BIG and secure their first victory at the ESL Pro League Season 14.

The first map was the pick of fnatic and saw the Bo3-series start off on Overpass. Both teams are well-versed on the map of Overpass and it seemed as if it would be a close first map to kick off the series with. And close it was, at least in the first half of the game. Posting a strong CT-sided performance it was the BIG roster to secure a 9-6 lead at halftime. However, whilst their CT-side looked strong and well organized it was a different story once the two teams had switched sides. Looking uninspired and almost scared the T-sided approach from BIG was not enough for them to finish what they had started. After only managing to win a single round in the second half, the BIG roster would have to see themselves bested on Overpass at the scoreline of 16-10.

The second map of the series was BIG’s map pick. BIG opted to go for Dust 2 as their map pick, a map that heavily favors long-range weaponry such as the AWP. Having perhaps noticed the lackluster performance from the fnatic AWP’er “Jackinho” in recent times, BIG saw Dust 2 as their opportunity to regain what they had lost on Overpass. And they managed to do exactly that. Whilst fnatic tried their best to answer back BIG it was clear that it was BIG who were the better team on Dust. After securing a 10-5 lead in the first half all BIG had to do was to finish what they had started. They did exactly that and could walk away with a victory on Dust 2 at the scoreline of 16-7.

The third and final map was set to be played on Nuke. We have seen BIG play Nuke numerous times, however, the sample size from the new fnatic roster is almost non-existent. The third and final map was just as close as one would have imagined, with fnatic having the slight upper hand in the first half. After an impressive T-sided performance on Nuke from the new-look fnatic the score at halftime was as close as possible at 8-7 favoring the fnatic side. The second half brought more intense battles between the two rosters. Despite fnatic almost closing it out in regulation time the third and final map went to OT to be decided. Ultimately fnatic did what they couldn’t in regulation time and closed out the series at the scoreline of 22-18, meaning their first victory in ESL Pro League Season 14.

The German Tizian “tiziaN” Feldbusch was the man behind one of the plays of the game, where he got a double-kill after he got the boost from one of his teammates!

The German tiziaN hasn’t had his best last three months for BIG, where he has played at a rating of 0.95, and he didn’t play his best game against G2 either, but plays like these can create momentum.

His teammate syrsoN played a great game and was the main reason why BIG ended up winning the match against G2.

BIG didn’t grant FURIA a chance in today´s game in the Group B upper bracket quarter-final of the DreamHack Masters Spring 2021.

BIG was in front 12-3 at halftime, and all hope for a FURIA comeback was gone by that time.

There were two players that cemented the victory for BIG, the two players are Tizian “tiziaN” Feldbusch and Nils “k1to” Gruhne who outperformed their opponent both with a rating over 1.70, an absolutely outrageous performance by the German duo.

BIG was definitely one of the biggest surprises of 2020. The German team started the year as number 46 on the world ranking but during the summer they reached the number one spot. A huge accomplishment for the roster.

The three tournament victories in DreamHack Masters Spring, cs_summit 6, and DreamHack Open Summer elevated BIG into the number 1 ranking in the world. There they stayed for a month and a half. An impressive feat for the Germans, who had successfully revitalized the team during 2020.

The early exit of ESL One Cologne came in the wake of their fantastic summer making the last-place finish on home soil even more disappointing. Especially painfully was the opening defeat in the hands of their fellow Germans from Sprout.

BIG ended 2020 on a high note. At IEM Global Challenge BIG defeated Astralis, Team Vitality, and Furia before being knocked out in the Semi-Finals by Team Liquid. A good showing from the German team, who qualified for the tournament due to a withdrawal from Chaos. 

It will be interesting to see, how the German team will fare in 2021. They clearly needed a break after a very tournament heavy 2020. Their first tournament will be the German Championships on the 17th of January.

If we were to compare this season to a typical Formula 1 year, then BIG would have the right to call themselves the “best of the rest”. Though far outside of contention for the title of the top team of the year, the Germans ended 2020 in a very respectable fourth place, a position few people would have predicted at the beginning of the year, when the Berlin-based team were fighting on the outskirts of the top 30.

Both G2 and BIG have won their first battle of BLAST Premier Fall Finals, as they face off against each other in their second match of the tournament. After this match, however, only one of the two teams will carry on in the upper bracket, while the loser will have to fight for the tournament-life in the lower bracket. 

The first map was on BIG territory as they began the battle on Inferno. A good start from the German roster meant an early 3-0 lead. The lead, however, didn’t last very long as G2 started answering back. Both rosters seemed eager and ready to fight as they went back and forth exchanging rounds. It was G2 to go to halftime with a slight lead as the score was 9-6 in favor of G2, due to a performance from “kennyS” reminiscent of his glory days.

The second half was just as exciting and intense as the first as both teams played an impressive Inferno. At 12-9 favoring G2, it looked as if they had cracked the code and ultimately would run away with the victory. This wasn’t the case, however, as BIG with the help of “tiziaN” found their momentum once again and closed out map one with a 16-12 victory over G2. “tiziaN” ends Inferno as the only player with an ADR-rating above 100. He managed 27 kills and an ADR-rating of 111.

The second map was G2’s map pick, and to nobody's surprise this, of course, meant Dust2. A “kennyS” on fire made the pick of Dust2 seem even deadlier for the French roster, as it is known to be a dream-map for AWP’ers such as “kennyS” himself. 

G2 came flying out of the gate with IGL “nexa” leading the charge. A seemingly flustered BIG roster was forced to sit back and watch as the French G2 dominated the first half. Starting second half at 11-4 favoring G2, on their own map pick, it was difficult to imagine BIG standing a chance.

This, however, soon became the reality as BIG found a sixth gear and slowly began to claw themselves back into the game. In the end, G2 found their footing once again and closed Dust2 with a victory of 16-14 – a lot closer than it should have been.

The third and final map was to take place on Mirage – a map known for its many possibilities to battle on open ground. And what a battle it was. It was clear that both teams were warm and more than ready to fight.

Going toe to toe, the two rosters showed how determined they were to best their opponent. As close as the scoreline was, just as close was the leaderboard, with no one standing out but also with no one falling completely behind. 

The third map on Mirage stayed close from start to finish, but in the end, it was BIG to cross the finish line first. With "tiziaN" in the frontlines, leading the charge, and ending on 25 kills, BIG managed to put a nail in the coffin and defeat G2 16-13.  

By beating G2 2-1 in the BO3-series, BIG secure their continued spot at the upper bracket, whilst G2 is sent down to the lower bracket where they will have to defeat Astralis to continue their run in BLAST Premier Fall Finals.
