A 10-match win streak has elevated MOUZ into the position of the current best team in the world according to HLTV's weekly world ranking update.

This is the first time since the introduction of HLTV’s World Ranking in August 2015, that MOUZ finds themselves as the best team in the world.

MOUZ secured the spot after defeating Danil "donk" Kryshkovets and Team Spirit in the Grand Final of the BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 tournament adding another win to their 2024 trophy cabinet. MOUZ is now undefeated in ten matches after going through ESL Pro League Season 19 flawless.

The most eye-catching thing about the current iteration of MOUZ is the cohesiveness of the roster, which can be seen in the stats of the players that are very evenly distributed.

At just 16 years old Jimi "Jimpphat" Salo has started his journey in Tier-1 CS:GO on MOUZ, where the Finnish player is the newest addition to the roster.

In Cologne MOUZ’s new lurker got a taste of how the pressure and life is at the top level of Counter-Strike.

- I was really nervous actually when I played in Cologne. It was my first proper LAN. It was something new to me. Now that I am here in Malta it is already a lot different, I don’t feel pressure or anything like that because it is not new anymore, Jimpphat explained to Pley.gg in an interview on the Media Day before the start of Group B at ESL Pro League Season 18.

On MOUZ Jimi "Jimpphat" Salo is part of a very young squad. The most experienced and prolific player is without a doubt David "frozen" Čerňanský, who was named among the best 20 players last year by HLTV. The Slovakian is naturally someone Jimpphat is looking at for inspiration.

- He is the best player that I have ever played with easily. He is so insane. He is a good aimer but he is also super smart. Even though we are not playing the same positions, there is still a lot to learn from him, like how he thinks and it is always nice to talk with him about in-game stuff. I am definitely trying to learn from him, Jimpphat explains.

CS:GO most decorated academy team in MOUZ NXT has found its new in-game leader with the signing of Christoffer “Chr1zN” Storgaard.

The 16-year-old Dane is set to be a “cornerstone” in the new version MOUZ NXT after the organization decided to remove most of the roster earlier this month, only keeping Jimi “Jimpphat” Salo on the payroll.

Head coach at MOUZ NXT, Tobias “TOBIZ” Theo is very pleased with the addition of his countryman, he explains.

The new MOUZ NXT roster is not set in stone yet, and it probably won’t be until a few weeks from now. Because the German organization has stated that they will hold trials for potential players to “identify which group of players can build strong synergies combined with good chemistry to guarantee continuous growth”, MOUZ says in a [link:{"url":"https://mousesports.com/news/rebuilding-mouz-nxt/","isNewTab":true,"text":"statement"}].

We teamed up with Niels Christian "NaToSaphiX" Sillassen, who has looked into a lot of demos to find the candidates for this list, where we have excluded all players, who are already playing on a Tier-1/2 team such as Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov to name the most obvious one.

The 21-year-old rifler is currently playing on Astralis Talent, but has been roaming around the professional scene for the last couple of years without breaking through. Is the highest-rated player before the playoffs start at WePlay Academy League Season 4.

Is currently playing for MONAD eSport on a C-tier level. The Swedish AWP'er is only 17 years old and could have a long career ahead of him in professional CS.

The Polish AWP'er had some big shoes to fill after Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás was promoted to the first team at the start of the year. But with a 1.22 rating in the WePlay Academy League, it seems like mhL is exactly what MOUZ NEXT had hoped for. 

This list and video were created before the news of w0nderful's move to Team Spirit. But we understand why! The Ukrainian is only 17 years old and has little to no experience in Tier 1 CS:GO, but we cannot wait to see him in action at IEM Cologne.

The AWP'er of Fnatic Rising can play both passive and aggressive with his Sniper rifle, which in today's meta is a huge deal. And hey, it's cool to see a new country in CS:GO (an honorable mention also goes to fellow Romanian Laurentiu "lauNX" Tarlea from Sprout)

Ladies and Gentlemen; We have an in-game leader on the list! IGLs are notoriously underappreciated in CS, but we hope to have picked one of the most exciting prospects for the future in "siuhy", who has won three titles in the WePlay Academy team with MOUZ NXT!

He is only 17 years old, but has already made quite a name for himself. The MOUZ NXT rifler has also been part of the successful spell at the team winning three titles and being one of the most hyped young players on the scene. But he did not make it into our top three! 

Another one! MOUZ NXT is packed with talents, and this one is special. Jimpphat is only 15 years old but is already signed with the best academy team in the world, which speaks for itself. The young Finn is actually VAC-banned, but since the ban was issued in early 2018, he can already compete at a Major next year.

The Russian is one of the most exciting players for the future. He is right on the edge of being on this list, but he is still largely unknown in the wider CS community. He is playing on 1WIN, who mostly are grinding C-tier tournaments.

Who is this guy? Niels Christian "NaToSaphiX" Sillassen was blown away watching demos of the 17-year-old Ukrainian AWP'er. He is currently playing for B8, but should have something much bigger in store for the future. Statswise he is currently rated 1.27 for his last three months, which is also very impressive.

MOUZ NXT has been one of the most successful academy teams in recent history. The team has won the new WePlay Academy League three times in a row, while two of their players have been promoted to the main team within the last couple of months, with Jon "⁠JDC⁠" de Castro being the most recent.

In his place, MOUZ NXT has looked north to find the replacement. 15-year-old Jimi "⁠Jimpphat⁠" Salo from Finland has been picked to fill out the gap, that JDC left behind. The young Finn has only played in all-Finnish lineups, but will now have the chance to explore his game outside of his home country. Jimpphat is the brother of ex-ENCE Jere "⁠sergej⁠" Salo. There is no official confirmation on how long Jimpphat will play as a stand-in for the team.

The young Finn has already had his debut on his new team. He helped MOUZ NXT to a 2-0 win against GamerLegion earlier today, with Jimi "⁠Jimpphat⁠" Salo going 28-25 in K-D.

Jimi 'Jimpphat' Salo, who is the little brother to the former ENCE star Jere 'sergej' Salo, was recently acquired by SJ Gaming. A transfer, which looks to be a very great idea by the Finnish team. 

In a match yesterday, the young and promising Jimpphat did this to his opponents in a tough 1v4 clutch on Overpass, which completely fired up the commentators.

The Finns from SJ has decided to shake up their roster before the start of the prominent Malta Vibes Knockout Series 1. The organization has decided to bench Leevi “AKE” Kovalainen and Verneri “BONA” Junkala, and replace them with the promising “super talent” Jimi “Jimpphat” Salo and Henri “HENU” Ylilehto.

Jimpphat is the younger brother of the former ENCE profile Jere “sergej” Salo, who currently is playing for GORILLAZ. The 15-year-old Salo little brother has also managed to make himself a name in the CS:GO community by showing short glimpses of his amazing talents.
