VERTEX completes its roster with the signing of Jared "⁠hazr⁠" O'Bree. The 21-year-old joins VERTEX after a short stint at Encore. 

hazr will be joining VERTEX after they failed to qualify for the ESL Pro League Season 17 back in late January. With their new signing of the young and talented rifler, VERTEX is now looking to strengthen their team going forward into upcoming events. hazr is averaging 1.06 Rating / 1.07 Impact / 0.69 KPR / 77.9 ADR during the past three months.

To close the day at ESL Pro League, the Australians of LookingForOrg faced the international lineup of fnatic. Both teams came into the match looking for their first win after having lost their games on day 1.

The match got started on LFO’s pick of Dust2, where fnatic secured an early lead of 4-0 on their CT-side before the Australians were able to answer back. Led by “ap0c”, the Aussies came back into it, and nothing but a single round separated the two teams at halftime.

Fnatic, who had the lead at the half, kept extending it after the break, but LFO came back immediately to equalize it just like in the first half. At this point, fnatic looked utterly lost for answers and LFO drove it home at 16-13.

After a loss on the first map, fnatic, and especially “Peppzor”, stepped their game up massively on Inferno. They took a convincing 11-4 halftime lead and looked much more comfortable than they did on the first map where “poizon” was the only one really showing up.

Fnatic quickly found map point at 15-4, and an eleven-round comeback was way too big of a task for the Australians, who had to concede the second map at 16-8.

With Dust2 and Inferno out of the way, it was now time for the deciding map: Overpass. The teams were exactly evenly matched after ten rounds as no team could seem to get the upper hand. “HaZR” tried hard to get LFO into a winning position, but it was “mezii” and “poizon” on the CT-side that managed to bring their team to a lead of 9-6 at the break.

LFO had a really hard time in the second half and were only able to take one round with them, meaning that fnatic took a dominating victory of 16-7.

The Australian roster has competed in the ESEA Premier Season 37 Australia, EPIC League Oceania 2021, ESL Australis & NZ Championship Season 12, and last in the LPL Pro League Season 7 in the last month, and they have played impressively!

A near-perfect month for Dire Wolves, who has beaten almost every team at the event, but they can’t get through ORDER, the second-best team in the last month, they have lost the two-last meeting with the roster.

Dire Wolves has some interesting players, who could potentially take the next step to Europe if they continue their impressive form, the players we´re talking about are sterling and HaZR who have played fantastically in the last month, as you can see in the read more article!

There have been some impressive performances from the other tier´s in the last month, with sterling on top of this. The Australian Euan “sterling” Moore has played fantastic with a K/D ratio of 1.54 in the last month!

With Renegades taking the first map of the series over on the Dust2 and AVANT securing Inferno the match was to be decided on the third and final map Overpass. 

Despite having played two maps, prior to this one, it seemed as if Renegades wasn't quite ready for AVANT. The scoreline was, to say the least, disappointing for any Renegades fans, as they ended their t-side at 12-3 favoring the CT's of AVANT. However, Renegades didn't give up and came back ready and eager to fight in the second half. 

Once again it was a dominating CT-side performance, this time by Renegades. They managed to win 11 consecutive rounds and ultimately forced overtime. Despite an incredible performance from AVANT player "HaZR", his 38 kills weren't enough to secure his team the win, and Renegades managed to defeat AVANT 2-1 and secure their place in the Grand Final of DreamHack Masters Winter (Oceania)
