zonic after quick exit: It's clear we need changes
It seems the Saudi organization is gearing up to enter the market for potential new talent.
"We need changes"
Those were the blunt words of Falcons head coach Danny “zonic” Sørensen after yet another underwhelming performance from Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer and his squad.
Falcons were eliminated from the BLAST Premier Fall Final in Copenhagen after consecutive losses to NAVI and FaZe.
In a post-match interview with BLAST’s James Banks, zonic reflected on the team’s current state and acknowledged the need for roster changes to progress.
- I think the guys gave everything today, but as many times before it was not enough. We’re obviously disappointed. We’re here to win and I’m used to winning, so obviously it’s tough. But yeah, I have to go home and look at it, zonic said.
James Banks: Are you at the point where you need to make changes in order to get the results you want?
- It’s obviously not something I want to focus that much on when I’m at a tournament. But I think it’s clear to see that we need changes.
Struggling form
The current state of Falcons reveals a struggling, aging roster that has faced significant challenges on the server. With nine losses in their last ten matches and no recent high-level finishes, the pressure on zonic and his team is mounting.
On top of that, the team has failed to break into the world’s top 10 for over half a year—an alarming fact for an organization with such lofty ambitions.
A potential remedy for their woes could be the addition of Bosnian superstar Nikola "NiKo" Kovač, who is rumored to be joining Falcons after the Shanghai Major. His arrival might inject the much-needed firepower, but questions remain about who will stand alongside him as the roster continues to evolve. For now, changes seem inevitable as Falcons strive to rise back into contention.
