Virtus.pro confirm roster change
The profiled CIS team is making moves ahead of the highly-anticipated arrival of Counter-Strike 2.
David “n0rb3r7” Danielyan has returned to the active lineup on Virtus.pro as he will replace Alexei "Qikert" Golubev, the organization confirmed this Sunday.
The official confirmation came following a statement from Qikert himself on X, formerly known as Twitter, where the Kazakh rifler revealed that he has played his last match for Virtus.pro.
- Being stand-in and helping the boys was fun but now it’s time to move forward and try different ways, thx for supporting me and VP on this tournament. I’ll share my future plans soon, Qikert stated.
Virtus.pro CEO, Nikolay Petrosyan, has made a comment on the decision to change up the roster explaining that they are “returning to the version of the roster with which we plan to work in long term”, and continues:
- Following the results of BLAST Premier last year, we were at a crossroads. Initially, the club's management and the coaching staff (which at that time included Jame and dastan, and now PASHANOJ joined them) planned to replace Qikert, but at the last moment the coaching staff managed to convince the management that replacing David would be more effective. It turned out to be an unfortunate decision, because of which we lost more than six months.
- Again, we highly appreciate Qikert, he is a great player. But we understand that, having played in the same line-up for many years, even professionals lose motivation, burn out and look for new challenges. Therefore, although Qikert is still linked to the club on a long-term contract, we are open to suggestions and are ready to consider various options for his transfer, Petrosyan stated in a press release.
