Viperio drops entire CS:GO roster
All five players are now placed on the market as free agents
The British Counter-Strike scene has struggled for quite some time and the Irish Counter-Strike scene has been almost nonexistent. With Viperio having just announced the release of their entire CS:GO roster, British and Irish CS:GO has taken yet another blow.
Despite reaching a tier-one event, the five players are now placed on the market as free agents. Founder and managing director Christopher Sword said the following about the decision to say farewell to the five players:
"I'd like to thank our CS:GO team for their efforts over the last 9 months. From competing in our first 2 seasons of the ESL Premiership, to reaching a tier one event at the Blast Paris Major EU RMR, there have been many highs across this time,"
He continues by explaining that both parties wanted something different and that their differences were the reason for the decision to drop the roster:
"While it was Viperio's intention to retain this roster and build upon our joint story, the team have a different vision which they're keen to pursue. I wish the players the best of luck in their careers and thank them for their contributions to date."
The five players who are now all free agents are:
Mohamad "Ducky" Nourelden
Andrew "Wolfie" Allan
Callum "Girafffe" Jones
Tom "arTisT" Clarke
Matas "Extinct" Strumila
