Top five biggest transfers in CS:GO
There has been some outstanding and some outrageous transfer in the last couple of years, here is our top five transfers in Counter-Strike.
1. device - Astralis to NIP!
A shock went through the CS:GO community when the Astralis star Device chose to make a shift over to the Swedish NIP. device has been in the top five of the HLTV player world rankings in the last six consecutive years, so it is one of the best in the history of the game that makes it onto the NIP roster.
2. NiKo – FaZe to G2
The Bosnian legend has been in contention for the title of the best player in the world at multiple periods throughout his career, and this transfer to duo up with his cousin huNter-, but the duo hasn’t been as lethal as they were expected to be.
3. Stewie2K – Cloud9 to SK Gaming
The Stewie2K story is a bit odd, as he won a major with Cloud9, and then shortly after decided to make a transfer to SK Gaming, where it didn’t go as planned. Later that year in 2018 he made 2 other transfers first to MIBR and the latest to his current organization Team Liquid.
4. shox – G2 to Vitality
This transfer sent shockwaves through the CS:GO community as they chose to sign Shox for 450.000$ instead of signing the French kioShiMa that everyone had expected from them. But Shox has shown to be worth the money for Team Vitality.
5. olofmeister – Fnatic to FaZe Clan
The Swedish rifler had been in Fnatic for over three years when he chose to make a transfer to FaZe Clan, a transfer that no one had expected. He has been in and out of the FaZe roster numerous times, as he went from active to inactive to stand-in and so on. He is currently inactive at FaZe Clan.
