The MOUZ captain demanded a statement performance from his squad against MIBR this Sunday morning.
After suffering back-to-back losses at the Perfect World Shanghai Major, MOUZ found themselves on the brink of elimination.
Yet, the young squad rallied in emphatic fashion, dismantling MIBR in a one-sided 2-0 match on Sunday morning to secure their spot in the playoffs.
A demanding captain
Despite the triumph, Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek expressed a mix of relief and disappointment during a post-match interview with Pala "Pala" Gilroy Sen, making it no secret that he expected a better showing from the team.
- It feels great to go through, especially with the way that we’ve been playing lately. I honestly think we made this path a lot harder for ourselves. In my opinion, this should have been a very easy path towards the playoff stage, siuhy said and continued:
- With the way that we’ve practised, how prepared for the Major and the level that we showed in the RMR, I was confident that we would go 3-0. That was not the case. I was disappointed in how we played yesterday and the day before, so I told my guys today I’m going to accept a 2-0 win, nothing else.
Question: Just before the match ended, I saw your manager and I asked her: ‘What did you feed these kids this morning?’ – Was there a specific reason why you guys were so hot and on fire today?
- For me personally, I had an English breakfast – my favorite. So I recommend that if you want to be good on the server. But no, nothing special. We have been sticking to our morning routines. This was an early game, probably the earliest we have played in a long time, and I think we as a team actually really enjoy playing in the morning. So give us more morning games.
