MOUZ ease past Brazilians to book playoff spot at the Major
The young squad left no question about who the better team was today, steamrolling over MIBR in Shanghai.
The youngsters from MOUZ have punched their ticket to the playoffs at the Perfect World Shanghai Major after a dominant 2-0 victory over MIBR this Sunday morning.
From the outset, it was clear that Kamil “siuhy” Szkaradek and his squad were a step ahead, delivering a one-sided performance that left the Brazilians struggling to keep up.
MOUZ kicked off the series with a commanding showing on their map pick of Mirage, where it was quickly shown that the Brazilians would have a tough time countering MOUZ. That led to a cruising 13-5 victory for MOUZ, led by a stellar performance from Ludvig "Brollan" Brolin, who posted an impressive 1.85 rating.
The action then shifted to Nuke, where MOUZ’s CT side utterly dismantled MIBR - A staggering 11-1 halftime lead set the tone for the map, with Dorian "xertioN" Berman leading the charge. While MIBR showed some signs of life after the side switch, MOUZ comfortably closed out the map 13-6, securing their spot among the final eight in Shanghai.
Despite a promising start in the Elimination Stage, MIBR’s journey comes to an end as they fall in the decisive 2-2 Swiss round. The last two playoff spots at the Major will be decided following the conclusion of FURIA vs NAVI at 07:00 (CET) and FURIA vs FaZe at 10:00 (CET).
