Who will grab a spot at the upcoming PGL Major? - Here's everything you need to know about the RMR situation in North America.

The CS:GO world haven’t had a Major championship in over two years, with the StarLadder Berlin Major in 2019 being the most recent. However, this will change this month when the highly-awaited PGL Major in Stockholm will be held from Oct 26th – Nov 7th.

IEM Fall NA

The fight for the remaining qualifying points has been underway for some time now, as both IEM Fall CIS and IEM Fall EU kicked off last week - Now the time has come to the proud region of North America!

IEM Fall NA will be the last chance for the teams to grab vital RMR points in the overall standing, which will determine the teams for the upcoming Major. Going into the important event, everything is open and the top spots in the RMR standing are all up for grabs.

The North American edition of IEM Fall offers more than 10.000 RMR points in total, which will be divided between the Top 5 teams at the event. If you look at the RMR standings and the points awarded, it’s clear that all attending teams have a potent shot for qualifying at the prestigious $2 Million Major Championship.

The favourites, underdogs and contenders?

The favourites to take a top spot and a Legend seed is undoubtedly the superstar teams in Liquid and FURIA. The two profiled squads have been at the top of CS:GO for some time now and are both placed in a favourable position on 2nd and 3rd going into IEM Fall.

Gambit win IEM Fall CIS

One of the underdog teams at IEM Fall will be the Brazilians from GODSENT. The Epitactio “TACO” de Melo-led side enter the event with an impressive 1st place at IEM Winter Closed Qualifier, where they defeated strong teams like FURIA and Extra Salt.

GODSENT has furthermore won 11 out of their last 12 matches, which can be a huge boost for the team in the upcoming Bo1 group stage. A great form, they need to exploit due to them having 0 RMR points prior to the tournament.
