The race towards the Major | RMR Ranking CIS
Will the Russian bears from Virtus.pro manage to climb over the line and secure a ticket for the upcoming Major?
In less than a month, the highly-awaited PGL Major Stockholm will commence after a two-year drought without a CS:GO Major Championship, owing to the global pandemic called Covid-19. The $2.000.000 event is going to be held in the Swedish capital in a LAN environment inside the massive Avicii Arena.
The fight for a spot at the upcoming Major isn’t over yet, as we still have one remaining qualifying event before the main event, being IEM Fall. The Regional Major Ranking event will be the last opportunity to gather important RMR points to secure a ticket.

IEM Fall CIS will be the first tournament to kick of its exciting group stage, with the tournament starting this Wednesday at 13.15 (CET). The qualifier offers nearly 11.000 RMR in total, which means the overall RMR standing could look completely different when IEM Fall is over.
Will Virtus.pro fall short in the standing?
The strong Russians from Virtus.pro are right now in a position where they wouldn’t qualify for the Major, with their 7th place in the rankings being one spot short. It will be a huge disappointment if the Flashpoint 2 and cs_summit 7 winners from VP do not manage to secure a place in the Major. Dzami "Jame" Ali and his troops were in fact the Grand Finalist, alongside Astralis, in the most recent Major at Berlin 2019 - Here they got 2-0'ed by the Danes.
On the other hand, we have a dominant team like Natus Vincere, who’s already qualified due to their strong showing in previous RMR events. It will be fun to see which teams are going to represent the CIS region at the PGL Major in October.
RMR Points | IEM Fall CIS
1st – 2500
2nd – 2344
3rd – 2188

5th – 1875
The opening round at IEM Fall CIS begins this Wednesday with an action-packed schedule, presenting no more than 12 Bo1 matches from 13.15-17.00 (CET). You can watch all matches here on Pley.gg
