OG becomes second organization to put academy program on hold
OG Academy
OG has decided to put their academy team on hold following the release of their players. Three OG players have been sent to the transfer list on behalf of organization strategies, the only player to keep his contract is the first-team substitute Max "Marix" Kugener who will be held as a future player for the OG first team.
OG academy coach Chrsitan "crisby" Schmitt keeps his contract with the team as he will become the analyst coach for the first team as their coaching staff needs to be strengthened going forward with the new 2023 season. OG academy had no success in the WePlay Academy league following three placements outside of the top 5 but OG´s first team is sure that their new analyst coach can bring something to the team.
OG's decision on setting their academy roster on hold looks a lot like Fnatic´s decision on releasing their roster to instead be focusing on different talent development strategies. whether or not this is a good idea for OG is up to the organization to decide, for now, OG only has one team to represent their banner at the start of the 2023 season.
The first team will look as follows:
Adam "NEOFRAG" Zouhar
Shahar "flameZ" Shushan
Abdul "degster" Gasanov
Maciej "F1KU" Miklas
Nemanja "nexa" Isaković
Casper "ruggah" Due (coach)
Chrsitan "crisby" Schmitt (analyst)
Max "Marix" Kugener (substitute)
