No Copenhagen Major for Falcons
A huge disappointment for the star-studded Falcons side.
Danny “zonic” Sørensen, Emil “Magisk” Reif and Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer will not get the chance to play a Major on home soil this year, with Falcons bumping out from the European RMR tournament this Friday.
Going into the second day of competition in Bucharest, Falcons had their backs to the wall in the super-important matchup against a lower-ranked AMKAL squad. Only a victory was enough if Falcons wished to book a spot at PGL Major Copenhagen next month.
However, that was apparently a task too tall for zonic and his troops, with the underdogs from AMKAL defeating the favourites 2-1 after a nail-biting overtime decider on Mirage.

A different story
What Falcons failed to do, FaZe and KOI didn’t. Because both the Finn “karrigan” Andersen-led side and the Spanish team – formerly known as Movistar Riders – managed to qualify for the upcoming Major in their advancement matches this Friday.
They took down Eternal Fire and Fnatic, respectively.
