Total meltdown! NIP eliminated from Major contention
The Swedish team has been knocked out as the first team in Bucharest after a shambolic performance against SAW.
Ninjas in Pyjamas will not be going to the first-ever Counter-Strike 2 Major.
That became a fact this Thursday when the Swedish team lost their elimination matchup against the Portuguese from SAW at the RMR event in Bucharest.
And to be fair, NIP wasn’t even close to securing the victory at any point throughout today’s Bo3 series, with SAW destroying the Swedish team on Ancient and then also on Nuke.
"Rock bottom"
Frederik “REZ” Sterner and the rest of NIP failed to get more than five rounds on their own map pick of Ancient, which they followed up by presenting a shocking three-round map score on Nuke.
Chad “SPUNJ” Burchill, who cast the match, had the following to say about NIP's disastrous performance:
- The once legendary organization of NIP have hit absolute rock bottom. How can you even be disappointed with this – you weren’t even in the game. Not even close whatsoever.
