Into the Breach will announce new roster in January
The British Organization has parted ways with its current mix of Swedes and Brits.
Nine different players have represented Into the Breach in a tumultuous 2022. And when the calendar turns 2023, a whole new roster will be revealed. According to HLTV, team manager Marvin "Punico" Matthes is quoted as saying:
- We are finalizing negotiations with a new roster, to be announced in the first week of January. ITB will see you back on the server 2023!
Into the Breach has fielded a majority of UK players, but that is not a given for the future. In a statement to UKCSGO, one of the owners of Into the Breach, Sam Macedonio, opens up for an international lineup in the future, when asked about the team's intentions to remain in the UK scene.
- We tried, and we’ll keep trying. However, likely through different means than a UK majority, and means that enable the results and attraction to sponsors we need. This is becoming especially prevalent in an increasingly difficult market.
Into the Breach is scheduled to play in the Thunderpick Bitcoin Series 2 later tonight, where it is expected to be the old lineup turning up under the banner of "ex-Into the Breach".
