Huge blow for Falcons! NiKo reportedly set to stay in G2
What looked like a done deal, now seems to have taken a very unexpected turn.
Nikola “NiKo” Kovac will not join Falcons this time around, despite heavy rumours and an alleged confirmation of a transfer between G2 and the Saudi organization.
It’s 1pv.fr and their trustworthy journalist Guillaume "neLendirekt" Rathier, who has the story, stating that NiKo has turned down Falcons’ offer and that he wants to stay in G2 alongside the Russian star AWPer Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov.
If today’s news is true, it would be a huge loss and setback for the star-studded Falcons project led by the former Astralis head coach Danny “zonic” Sørensen, as they will have to look elsewhere for a new rifler.
Falcons only have one player on the active lineup in Mohammad "BOROS" Malhas after the organization benched no less than four players on Sunday. The removed quartet is Nathan "NBK-" Schmitt, Alexandre "bodyy" Pianaro, Miłosz "mhL" Knasiak and Laurențiu "lauNX" Țârlea.
zonic’s rumoured Falcons lineup consists of BOROS, Emil “Magisk” Reif, Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer, NiKo, and m0NESY. However, the latter two seem to stay at G2 at this very moment, according to 1pv.fr’s report.
