The evolution of Cache
Are we ever going to see the return of Cache as an official CS:GO map?
The map of Cache holds many incredible memories and moments for CS:GO players and fans across the world. Back in March 2019, it was decided that Cache would no longer be a part of the official map pool of CS:GO, meaning that professional players would no longer have the opportunity to compete on the map at events and tournaments. Instead, Vertigo was introduced as the, at the time, newest addition to the map pool.
Whilst many thought that the removal of Cache would only be until a new and fine-tuned version was released, it seems as we may never see Cache being played professionally again. Vertigo, whilst still criticized by many, is slowly but surely becoming an established part of the official map pool. Moments such as the one above are, as it currently stands, not likely to be produced ever again on Cache. Despite its fine-tuned version being released on October 10 back in 2019, the map is still not a part of the official map pool. Whilst this may be the case it is, without any doubt, still one of the iconic maps of CS:GO. Take a look at the evolution of Cache:
