Dust2 yet to be played at IEM Katowice

Fans of Dust2 have not had much fun during the Main Event at IEM Katowice. The legendary map has not been picked so far at the event. Only once has Dust2 been the decider map in a match, but did not get used in the 2-0 victory for G2 against Team Liquid.
In 11 out of 18 BO3 matches the map was vetoed out in the first round.

So far at the event, the amount of lost map picks has been high. During the 18 BO3 matches, 22 out of 36 map picks were lost. The most "treacherous" map so far has been Vertigo, where the team that had picked the map lost it 71% of the times. Ancient is at the other end of the scale with only a 28% loss rate.

With the M4A1-S buff last year combined with the new grenade drop system, the CT sides turned very powerful at the end of 2021, where all maps were CT-sided. At IEM Katowice the same tendency is showing with the exception of Inferno and Vertigo.
