Disappointment! Astralis misses their fourth Major in a row
Passion UA is ready for the Perfect World Shanghai Major as Astralis' Major curse continues.
Astralis not competing at the Majors is a reality the Counter-Strike scene has become quite accustomed to. And let’s face it, for good reason.
This Sunday, the nightmare repeated itself once again with Astralis failing to qualify for their fourth consecutive Major after getting sent home from the European RMR with an upsetting 2-3 scoreline
The final blow came at the hands of Passion UA, who eliminated the Danes with a clean 2-0 victory in a high-pressure elimination series that showcased Astralis’ shortages in Shanghai.

No device in Shanghai
Astralis arrived in Shanghai with hopes already dampened after announcing that star AWPer Nicolai “device” Reedtz would not join the team for the tournament due to health issues.
Instead, the team was left scrambling, forced to field Alexander “br0” Bro off the bench, while captain Casper “cadiaN” Møller saw himself return to the AWPing duties.
A rollercoaster run
Astralis’ RMR campaign was anything but steady, marked by small glimpses of brilliance but overshadowed by recurring issues. The tournament began on a disastrous note with consecutive losses to Sashi and 9 Pandas, leaving the team on the brink of elimination.
However, the Danes showcased great resilience, bouncing back with hard-fought victories over Eternal Fire and B8 to keep their Major dreams alive. But in the end, it wasn’t enough as they fell short against Passion UA this Sunday morning.
While Astralis has been eliminated, Passion UA has secured themselves a spot at the Chinese Major through their Buchholz score.
