Another tournament organizer decides to suspend Russian-based teams
Elisa Esports is the next in line to show support to Ukraine by excluding Russian teams from their tournaments.
The Finnish tournament organizer and production company has chosen to exclude and suspend all Russian-owned organizations from their tournaments, they confirm on Twitter this Wednesday.
With the decision, Elisa Esports follow the footsteps of BLAST, who took the same stance yesterday, owing to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine happening right now.
Elisa Esports’ next big tournament will be played is Elisa Invitational Winter 2021, which is set to run this week. The playoff doesn’t hold any Russian-owned or based team, which means that today’s decision won’t affect the rest of the tournament.
