G2 were a round away from 9-6 on Dust2 when Wicadia won a 1v3 on an eco with a Scout and no armour, and Aurora went on to take the decider in overtime.
Aurora Gaming are still alive at IEM Beijing 2026 after beating G2 Esports 2-1 in the Group B lower bracket, and G2 are out. Aurora won their own Nuke pick 13-9, G2 answered with the same score on Inferno, and the Dust2 decider went 16-13 after overtime.

It was the second time in nine days these two met with something at stake. Aurora won 2-0 in Bucharest on 25 October, and both sides came into Tuesday’s match off opening defeats: Aurora lost 13-3, 13-4 to Team Liquid, G2 lost 2-1 to PARIVISION.
One eco round on Dust2
The first two maps went to the team that picked them. Aurora led 8-4 at the half on Nuke, a map G2 rarely play, and held off NertZ’s 24 kills. On Inferno HeavyGod went 25-13 with 107.0 ADR and G2 levelled the series.
Dust2 was 6-6 at the break. G2 won the second pistol round on the CT side and moved 8-6 ahead, and when Aurora’s force buy after it failed, they were left on a full eco. Wicadia picked up a Scout without armour, caught a player on the cross and ended up alone against three. He won the round, it was 8-7, and G2 called a timeout. Aurora won the next two rounds to lead 9-8.
The map still had a long way to go. At 11-11, kyxsan won a fight on long with a MAC-10 against an AWP to put Aurora on map and series point, and huNter- answered with a round of kills through a smoke to force overtime. There Aurora won four rounds to G2’s one.
Wicadia finished Dust2 26-15 with 89.0 ADR, and his 60 kills were the most on the server. Against Liquid on Monday he went 13-27.
Six series in a row for G2
G2’s last series win came on 5 October, 2-0 against ShindeN. Since then they have lost six straight: once to PARIVISION in the ESL Pro League, three times in Bucharest and twice here. They leave Beijing in the 13th to 16th place bracket.
In Bucharest coach sAw said G2 were “stagnating” and pointed to the last seconds of rounds. After Tuesday’s exit he listed the same kind of situations on ESL’s broadcast, the 5v3s and 3v2s that G2 did not close.
I can count at least five like instantly, and it’s an overtime game
NertZ and HeavyGod both finished above 82 ADR. The problem sat at the AWP: r1nkle went 29-50 with 52.6 ADR across the series and 9-20 on Dust2.
Aurora short on practice
Aurora’s win ends a run of four lost maps that started against MOUZ in the Bucharest quarter-finals, but in-game leader kyxsan did not oversell it. He told ESL’s broadcast that the schedule has left no room to work on the team.
This is our fourth tournament in a row and our last practice day was, I don’t even know, maybe like a month ago
He said they now change small things between matches, such as flash timings, rather than add anything new to the playbook. On Wednesday Aurora play the loser of MOUZ and BetBoom in the lower bracket semi-final, and another defeat ends their tournament.
PARIVISION book a playoff spot
At the same time, PARIVISION beat Team Liquid 2-0 in the upper bracket semi-final and are sure of a place in the playoffs. They won their own Ancient pick 13-7 and then took Liquid’s Inferno 13-9.

PARIVISION won all four pistol rounds, so Liquid spent most of the series chasing. FL1T was the best player on the server with 104.8 ADR and 85.7% KAST, and Jame went 28-14. Liquid fought back on Inferno in the second half, helped by a force-buy round JT won with a triple kill, but PARIVISION pulled away again.
It was a sharp turn for Liquid. Against Aurora on Monday all five of their players had a positive K-D. This time all five finished negative, and EliGE went from 36-15 to 23-29.
PARIVISION now meet the winner of MOUZ and BetBoom in the upper final, where the group’s direct ticket to the semi-finals is decided. Liquid drop to the lower bracket semi-final and face the winner of TYLOO and 9z. We follow the rest of the group on our IEM Beijing 2026 page.
