The narrative of 2025 has been Vitality’s dominance. After acquiring ropz from FaZe Clan in January, they created a trio of stars (ZywOo, Spinx, ropz) that proved impossible to counter-strat. Budapest was their victory lap.

• Falcons’ Disappointment: The narrative around Team Falcons was heavy. After adding the Russian prodigy kyousuke following the BLAST Austin Major, the team had found rhythm, reaching multiple semi-finals and Grand Finals leading up to Budapest. With a core of NiKo, m0NESY, and kyousuke, expectations were championship or bust. Falling in the Quarter-Finals was seen as a massive failure for a roster built solely to win Majors.

The Grand Final began with a shock but ended in a demolition. After stumbling out of the gate, Vitality regrouped to absolutely dismantle FaZe Clan on the remaining three maps.

• Map 1: Nuke (FaZe Pick):FaZe Clan came out swinging on their map pick. Utilizing a fast-paced T-side that caught Vitality off guard, they neutralized ropz’s ramp hold. FaZe stunned the crowd with a dominant 13-6 victory to start the series.
• Map 2: Dust II (Vitality Pick):Woken up by the loss, Vitality responded instantly on their home turf. ZywOo and Spinx combined for massive impact, and FaZe simply could not find a foothold. Vitality crushed them 13-3 to even the series.
• Map 3: Inferno (FaZe Pick):The pivotal map saw FaZe struggle to replicate their Nuke form. apEX called a masterclass CT side, suffocating FaZe’s map control. Despite a valiant effort to keep it competitive, Vitality closed it out 13-9.
• Map 4: Overpass (Decider):With FaZe’s resistance broken, Vitality went for the kill. The final map was completely one-sided, as Vitality surrendered only two rounds. They secured the map 13-2 and the championship in dominant fashion.
