Having defeated them two weeks ago at IEM Cologne, this marks the third series and fifth map in a row that Spirit take over MOUZ.
MOUZ almost steal Ancient
Dorian ‘xertioN’ Berman spoke of his desire to get back at Daniil ‘donk’ Kryshkovets, saying he “filled his nightmares” and delivered on it. He had a positive K/D match-up against donk of 7/4.
MOUZ got up to a dominant CT-start on Ancient, taking an 8-4 half. However, it was anything but smooth after, as Spirit came back and got to map point first at 12-10.
A clutch from Jimi ‘Jimpphat’ Salo prolonged the game to overtime, but not for long as Spirit bagged their map pick 16-14.
On Mirage, Spirit continued their form, blazing through MOUZ’s pick with donk and Ivan ‘zweih’ working in tandem to wipe out MOUZ.
A 10-2 opening CT-side was enough for Spirit to close 13-5, and make their second consecutive grand final.
